The Curriculum

The Emory Physician Assistant Program is a 28-month rigorous program granting a Master of Medical Science degree following successful completion of the curriculum. Graduates are eligible to sit for the PA National Certifying Examination, and historically Emory PA graduates have done exceptionally well on this examination.

The Program emphasizes primary health care, the health care team model, and attempts to motivate and prepare students for working with medically underserved populations. Students complete their didactic training on the Emory campus in Atlanta, their required clinical training at a variety of locations throughout Atlanta and Georgia, and their clinical electives at a variety of sites within and outside the southeastern US.

The curriculum is divided into three phases.
